MEMBERSHIP WITHIN ENGINEERING ACADEMY OF SERBIA
An engineer who has achieved significant professional, scientific, and educational results, and has gained recognition based on those achievements, may be elected as a member of the Academy.
Members of the Academy may be:

Corresponding members

Honorary members
-
Foreign members
-
Associate members (individual and institutional)
Membership in the Academy is individual and is neither transferable nor inheritable.
PROCEDURE FOR ELECTING MEMBERS OF THE ACADEMY
A decision on commencement of election procedure is passed by the Council of Academicians. A decision
The decision to initiate the procedure for the election of a member of the Academy is made by the Council of the Academy of Engineering Sciences (IAS).
The election of Academy members is conducted by secret ballot every third year.
Candidates for Academy membership may be nominated by:
- Three existing members of the Academy,
- The Founders of the Academy and its Departments,
- University Senates,
- Academic and professional councils of higher education institutions,
- Scientific councils of institutes,
- Highest bodies of engineering professional associations and engineering organizations.
The election procedure is public.
Only regular members vote in the election of regular and foreign members.
Regular and corresponding members vote in the election of corresponding and honorary members.
The announcement of elected members is made at a session of the IAS Council. The decision of the Council is final. All newly elected members receive an official certificate of election in the form of a charter.
